How do seeds move from one place to another?
কিছু বীজ খুব হালকা বা ছোট রেশমি লোমযুক্ত হয়। হাওয়া এগুলো তুলে বড় দূরত্বে নিয়ে যায়। ড্যান্ডেলিয়ন বীজ একটি ভালো উদাহরণ।
Some seeds are very light or have tiny hairs or parachutes. The wind lifts them and takes them far. Dandelion seeds are a good example.
কিছু বীজ প্রাণীর লোম বা পাখির পালকে লেগে যায়। আর কিছু বীজ প্রাণীরা খায় এবং পরে মলের সঙ্গে বের হয়। এতে গাছ নতুন জায়গায় জন্মায়।
Some seeds stick to fur or feathers. Other seeds are eaten by animals and later come out in droppings. This helps plants grow in new places.
কিছু বীজ ভাসে এবং নদী, জলকাদা বা সমুদ্র ধরে ভেসে চলে। নারকেল অনেক দূর ভাসতে পারে এবং নতুন সৈকতে গাছ হয়।
Some seeds float and can travel on rivers, puddles, or the sea. Coconuts can float long distances and grow on new beaches.
কিছু গাছ বীজে ছোট পাখা বা লোম তৈরি করে, যাতে হাওয়া তাদের ছোট হেলিকপ্টারের মতো উড়িয়ে নিয়ে যেতে পারে।
Some plants make wings or hairs on seeds so wind can carry them like tiny helicopters.
