Rafi and Asha walk past the old mango stall near their lane. They like the bright green mangoes.

Rafi and Asha walk past the old mango stall near their lane. They like the bright green mangoes. Rafi finds a folded paper behind the stall. He shows it to Asha. They feel excited.
তারা কাগজ খুলে দেখে। সেটি ছেঁড়া। কাগজটা একটি ছোট মানচিত্র। কিছু অংশ নেই। ছোট একটা নোটে লেখা, “দাদুকে সাহায্য করো।”
They open the paper. It is torn. The paper is a small map. Some parts are missing. A tiny note says, “Help Dadu.”
তারা দাদুর দরজায় কড়া নাড়ে। দাদু তাদের বন্ধুবৎসল প্রতিবেশী। তিনি চিন্তিত দেখাচ্ছেন। তিনি বলেন, তার বীজের বস্তা মাঠে হারিয়ে গেছে। মানচিত্র কাজে লাগতে পারে।
They knock on Dadu’s door. Dadu is their friendly neighbour. He looks worried. He says his sack of seeds is lost in the field. The map might help.
তারা মানচিত্রটা পরীক্ষা করে। আশা মানচিত্রে মাঠের আঁকাটা পড়ে। রাফি মানচিত্রে একটি ছোট পুকুরের দিকে ইশারা করে। মানচিত্রে পথের পাশে তিনটা আমগাছ আঁকা আছে। তারা সেখানেই একসাথে খুঁজবে ঠিক করে।
They study the map. Asha reads a drawing of the field. Rafi points to a little pond on the map. The map shows three mango trees by the path. They decide to look there together.
প্রথম আম গাছে তারা একটা কাপড়ের ফিতা পায়। দ্বিতীয় গাছে তারা একটি ছোট পাথরে চিহ্ন পায়। এই সূত্রগুলো মানচিত্রের সাথে মেলে। আশা বলে, “আমরা কাছে আছি।” রাফি মাথা নাড়ে আর পুকুরের দিকে দৌড়ে যায়।
At the first mango tree they find a cloth ribbon. At the second tree they find a small stone with a mark. The clues match the map. Asha says, “We are close.” Rafi nods and runs to the pond.
পুকুরের ধারে তারা পাতার নিচে বীজের বস্তাটা পায়। দাদু খুশিতে হেসে ওঠেন। তারা একসাথে বস্তাটা নিয়ে যায়। দাদু তাদের ধন্যবাদ জানান এবং দুইটা মিষ্টি আম দেন। তারা সূর্যাস্তের আলোয় বাড়ি ফিরছে, গর্বিত আর হাসতে হাসতে।
By the pond they find the seed sack under leaves. Dadu lets out a small, happy cheer. They carry the sack back together. Dadu thanks them and gives them two sweet mangoes. They walk home at sunset, proud and smiling.
