How do trees help people in the city?
শহরে গাছ মানুষকে কীভাবে সাহায্য করে?
Tree leaves make shade. Shade feels cooler than open sun. On hot days, a shaded bench or street can be several degrees cooler.
গাছের পাতা ছায়া দেয়। ছায়ায় খোলা রোদের চেয়ে ঠাণ্ডা লাগে। গরম দিনে ছায়াযুক্ত বেঞ্চ বা রাস্তায় তাপমাত্রা কয়েক ডিগ্রি কম থাকে।
Trees release water from their leaves. This is like tiny cooling drops that lower nearby air temperature. Many trees together make neighbourhoods cooler.
