How does water go from the ground to falling as rain?
সূর্য নদী, পুকুর ও ভেজা মাটি গরম করে। পানি খুদে খুদে কণা বাষ্পে বদলে যায়। বাষ্প উপরে উঠতে থাকে।
Sun heats rivers, ponds and wet ground. Tiny bits of water turn into invisible vapor. Vapor rises up into the air.
আকাশে উপরে ঠান্ডা থাকে। বাষ্প ঠান্ডা হয়ে কণার সঙ্গে লেগে ছোট ছোট ফোঁটা হয়। অনেক ফোঁটা মিলে মেঘ তৈরি করে।
Higher in the sky the air is cooler. The vapor cools and sticks to tiny dust or salt bits. Many tiny drops together make a cloud.

Cloud drops bump and join into bigger drops. When drops get heavy they fall from the cloud as rain. Wind can move clouds before the rain comes.

Clouds can hold many tiny drops that you cannot see. A single cloud drop is smaller than a pin head.
